ContributorNetwork – The Grimsvotn volcano in Iceland began erupting on Saturday, sending plumes of ash and smoke billowing out from under the Vatnajokull icecap toward the United Kingdom. The ash is expected to reach the U.K. by Monday evening, covering much of Scotland by Tuesday morning.
